And so, the blog has gone through an overhaul. A redesign. A re-envisioning. A re-imagining.

A re-boot.

Last year, I started writing out of necessity. It was a hard year. (Take this post as an example)

This year, I want to do more writing simply because I want to. Well, that and I have a few other projects in the works, but since they are still in the works, they will have to wait until later. So, what will I write about?

Matters of faith are important to me. They are important to me personally, as a follower of Christ, and vocationally, as a minister of the gospel. As a reader, watcher, and spectator of the world around me, I will probably offer “insight” (take that one loosely) on culture as well.

Let’s face it, I am a foodie too. I like to cook, eat, and explore cultures through cuisine. I am also concerned about the capitalization (economics) and implications (nutrition, health, global vs. local food production), so maybe we will talk some about cuisine.

Of course, it all just falls under the broad realm of commentary. Some of it will be serious, some of it will be satirical, some of it will be superficial… and I promise to get out of the habit of making everything start with the same letter. It is just a force of habit, you know.

Oh yes, and I hope you like the new blog design. I’d like to take the credit for it, but WordPress makes it very easy to redesign your blog.

Enjoy version 2.0. It should be a fun year.
